THE RELUCTANT PRESIDENT (FROM DAY1 - 1YEAR & 8MONTHS)

The people have spoken, the reluctant candidate is now a President. Never in my wildest imagination that he will become a president.

I remember my High School Days that if someone like to run as a Classroom President someone will nominate him. But there are instances that a nominee refuses to accept the nomination and beg off for the deletion of his name.

The teacher then will asks what will be his reasons for refusal, the reluctant candidates will start to reason out. Whatever his or her reasons are, the mere fact that he turned down the nomination for the Classroom Presidency gives us a signal that if elected, he or she will not become a good president, because he was elected against his will. This is the reason why I should not vote for him.

The Office of the President of the Philippines is incomparable and yet someone in the like of Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte refuses the nomination of the PDP-LABAN to be their Standard Bearer for Presidency! Mayor Digong Duterte have all the reasons to turned down the offer because according to him, he is old enough and not fit to become the President of the Philippines.

But despite of the the underlying reasons I stated above, his friends, allies and the people who believes in him that he is really the right person for the presidency pushed the Mayor against the wall that made him to accept the lucrative offer to run for the Presidency.

The rest is history. Whether you like it or not, the reluctant candidate is now the President of the Republic of the Philippines. In his early days of office, we still hear the phrases that that he did not seek the presidency and he also said that the people knew that he will be a bloody President!

Ahead of time we are repeatedly forwarned by Mayor Rodrigo Duterte not to vote for him because he will be a "Bloody President" especially if the people will not follow him but a great majority of us do not listen to him and still put him into power.

Now, can we blame him? This is a big lesson for us that in the next election, we should not vote for a reluctant candidate. In fairness to President Duterte, in his campaign speeches and even until now, he never hide his true identity.

THIS GIGANTIC STATUE OF THE DIVINE MERCY MEASURED 50 FEET HIGH PERHAPS THE MOST REMARKABLE MONUMENT IN MINDANAO. IT IS SITUATED IN EL SALVADOR CITY, AND IT WAS NAMED AFTER THE SAVIOR OF THE WORLD, JESUS CHRIST. THE STAIRWAY IS MUCH HIGHER THAN THAT OF MRT. THOSE WHO HAVE HEALTH CONDITION ARE ADVISED TO STAY ON THE GROUND. TOURISTS AND OTHER VISITORS ARE ADVISED TO OBSERVED PROPER DECORUM SINCE THE ENTIRE PLACE IS SACRED. THOUGH I AM A REFORMED CATHOLIC, VISITING THE PLACE IS A RARE EXPERIENCE AND I WAS AMAZED TO SEE HOW PEOPLE STRIVE TO CREATE ENORMOUS STATUE LIKE THIS. PILGRIMS FROM DIFFERENT PARTS OF ARCHIPELAGO FLOCKED TOGETHER TO SEE THIS WONDERFUL PLACE. I AM A STRONG BELIEVER THAT PEOPLE'S FAITH CREATED THIS PLACE. THEIR FAITH IN JESUS CHRIST WORKS WONDER FOR THEM RECEIVING POSITIVE ANSWERS TO WHAT THEY WISH FOR.
