H2H

According to Councilor Ramon "Toto" Medalla, house to house visitation not only gives him an opportunity to reintroduce himself to the people but gives him opportunities to hear and listen from them.

Seeing the actual living condition of his constituents makes him more sensitive to their needs. As he makes his round of visitation in Barangay Payatas this afternoon, he met people with different needs. He noticed that there are those suffering from illnesses that needs an immediate attention. Because of financial constraints, they were deprived of the medical attention they badly needed.

Councilor Ramon "Toto" Medalla is the Author of SP-5887, S-2014, urging the City Government to allocate additional funds for the procurement of pneumonial and flu vaccines intended for senior citizens of Quezon City. This time, he wanted to legislate measures that will increase the capability of the City Health Department to address this problem.

Councilor "Toto" as fondly called by his "Inaanak sa Kasal" and "Kumpare and Kumare" is always willing to extend his hands to do the best he could for his constituents.

In the street, he met this pregnant woman, he asked it she is already married, the woman said no, then he immediately offer himself to be her ninong sa kasal. Immediately, he said, after the election ban, she can visit him in his office to arrange her wedding.

COMPLETE SET OF FEET

Our feet works harder than what we think of. It brings us to lovely places we never been to. The feet carry our body weight all day out all day in. Though tired but never complained.   I was reminded of the song "Foot Prints On The Sands." Where most of the time the songwriter always noticed that there are two sets of footprints on the sand. Suddenly, the lowest point of his time came, at his amazement, there were only one set of footprints on the sands. He complained, because he thought God leave him. A voice from heaven was heard, "My son I never leave you. Yes, there was only one set of footprints on the sand the reason for that is that I carry you." This true to life story made me think that the complete set of feet is not one but two and we must always think this way.

"SALUBONG" - SEMANA SANTA 2019

I WAS RAISED AS ROMAN CATHOLIC BY MY PARENTS. WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL, I WAS CONVERTED TO BAPTIST. THEN MY JOURNEY AS A BIBLE BELIEVER AND MY CURIOSITY TO KNOW RELIGION BECOMES STRONGER.  I FOUND MYSELF STUDYING THE BIBLE IN BETHANY BAPTIST BIBLE COLLEGE IN DIAN ST. MAKATI CITY. THERE, I FINISHED MY BASIC BIBLE COURSE. THEN I PURSUE MY BACHELOR OF THEOLOGY DEGREE IN CENTRAL BIBLE COLLEGE. I ALSO TOOK SPECIAL COURSES IN PRESBYTERIAN THEOLOGICAL SEMINARY WHERE I FINISH MY SPECIAL COURSE IN THEOLOGY. I HEARD ABOUT "SALUBONG" DURING SEMANA SANTA, AND MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, SEEN THIS DURING MY CHILDHOOD BUT MY MEMORIES HAS BEEN ERASED BY SO MANY NEW INPUTS ENTERED TO MY BRAIN. FROM A REFORMED CATHOLIC VIEW AND FROM WHAT I WITNESSED THIS MORNING, LET ME TELL YOU THE STORY OF THE "SALUBONG".  THE WHOLE CHRISTIANITY WAS SADDENED BY THE NEWS OVER THE DEATH OF JESUS CHRIST THROUGH CRUCIFIXION MUCH MORE MARY THE MOTHER OF JESUS BEAR THE PAIN.
