( Note: Updated Vesion) The people have spoken, the reluctant candidate is now a President. Never in my wildest imagination that he will become a president. I remember my High School Days that if someone like to run as a Classroom President someone will nominate him. But there are instances that a nominee refuses to accept the nomination and beg off for the deletion of his name. The teacher then will asks what will be his reasons for refusal, the reluctant candidates will start to reason out. Whatever his or her reasons are, the mere fact that he turned down the nomination for the Classroom Presidency gives us a signal that if elected, he or she will not become a good president, because he was elected against his will. This is the reason why I should not vote for him. The Office of the President of the Philippines is incomparable and yet someone in the like of Mayor Rodrigo Roa Duterte refuses the nomination of the PDP-LABAN to be their Standard Bearer for Presidency!
